Infant Mental Health
Children mental health services are occurring in different settings throughout King County; however, the breadth, depth, and accessibility of these services are unknown. In partnership with School Readiness Consulting, Washington Association for Infant Mental Health, and Best Starts for Kids, Soar is implementing a Landscape Analysis and Strategic Plan to build a more comprehensive system for Infant, Early Childhood, and Family Mental Health in King County.

Project Details:
Beginning of 2019 Soar and partners will conduct a Landscape Analysis by engaging with community and stakeholder about the importance of infant mental health. We will convene family and professional focus groups, in addition to interviewing stakeholders.
This Landscape Analysis will identify the successes, gaps, and disparities of existing supports and services, and will generate baseline data against which we will evaluate our efforts.
In 2020 Soar will support the process of define guiding principles for a strategic plan that reflect stakeholders feedback and support the prioritization of strategies.
Following the Landscape Analysis, project stakeholders will participate in a Visioning process to develop a Strategic Plan, that will build a comprehensive system to support mental health across the age continuum in King County. Most importantly it will be one that reflects the community’s needs.
