Amy Pak (She/Her) is a Korean-American immigrant, transracial adoptee, and a mother of two boys, one fourth and one first grader. Amy earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and has two decades of experience in community organizing, domestic violence and sexual assault counseling, and anti-racist education with families and youth in Seattle. She consults with local preschools and independent schools on inclusion and anti-bias practices and family engagement. As the founding Executive Director of Families Of Color Seattle (FOCS), she has connected 2,500+ parents to build a loving community of families of color. Seattle Human Services Coalition awarded FOCS the 2016 Ron Chisom Anti-Racism Award. Through her leadership and equity focus, Amy developed signature programs at UW Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity and Asian Counseling & Referral Services. Her work has been featured in various publications including Red Tricycle’s Seattle’s 13 Power Moms, ParentMap’s Someone You Should Know, Seattle Times, and KUOW.
